Our Services
Adult Eye Exams
We provide thorough eye exams for adults of all ages. Your eyes don’t stop changing once you reach adulthood; they continue to undergo structural and functional changes, which can impact your eye health and vision. Seniors are at an increased risk for several eye diseases and should see an Optometrist every year. Our clinic relies on highly advanced technology and well-trained staff to provide outstandingly thorough and comprehensive eye exams.
CONTACT LENS EXAMS & FITTINGS
Everyone’s eyes are different, and so are their visual needs. As a result, everyone’s eyes react differently to contact lenses, making a comprehensive eye exam and fitting an important part of the process for safely wearing contact lenses.
COLOUR VISION
Colour vision deficiency is a condition in which the retinal cone cells respond to light differently than normal. People with colour blindness can usually still see colours but have colour confusions or see certain pairs of colours so similarly that they cannot tell them apart. we are the exclusive Enchroma Glasses supplier in Eastern Ontario.
children’s eye exams
Our children’s eye exams are tailored to your child’s age and ability. Your child does not need to know the alphabet or know how to read in order to undergo an eye exam. For younger children, we use shapes, videos, and pictures to make the eye exam experience as engaging and fun as possible.
advanced diagnostic testing
In addition to testing your near vision and distance vision, we use advanced diagnostic equipment to evaluate your eye health. Through wide-field fundus imagery, optical coherence tomography, and other state-of-the-art technology, we can assess your eyes’ internal structures, monitoring for any subtle indicators of changes or diseases.
emergency eye care
If you are having an eye emergency call our office immediately and one of our caring staff will triage your symptoms with a member of our doctor team to address your problem in a timely manner. Even seemingly minor symptoms can have serious consequences.
diabetic eye exams
Diabetes and its complications can affect many parts of the eye. In fact, early diabetes can often be detected through a comprehensive eye exam. Patients with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes should see an Optometrist at least once per year, sooner if new symptoms arise. OHIP covers yearly exams and any required follow-up assessments for patients with diabetes.
DRY EYE THERAPY
Dry eye syndrome is not just uncomfortable; it can also be damaging long-term. We take a tailored approach to diagnosing and treating dry eye disease. We don’t just aim to address your symptoms; we also strive to address the underlying cause of your dry eye and create a targeted plan that is customized to suit your needs.
EYE DISEASE DIAGNOSIS & MANAGEMENT
Many eye diseases don’t show symptoms until the late stages. By the time patients begin to notice changes in their vision, they may already have begun to suffer from significant and irreversible vision loss.
Regular eye exams allow us to track small changes in your eye health and give us the opportunity to begin any necessary treatments before significant and permanent vision loss occurs.
